Hydraxon struggled against the creature's grip. He tried to aim his Cordak Blaster but his position was awkward, so he couldn't get a clear shot. He looked behind him and saw just the faintest glimmer of light disappearing from view. Then all was blackness. Hydraxon shifted his grip on his Cordak Blaster. Suddenly, he heard a rumbling from somewhere beneath him. Was it the creature? Hydraxon shifted from his position and looked around. Nothing. He turned around and saw gleaming red eyes hovering above him. What they belonged to he had no idea. Suddenly he heard a voice. It seemed to come from everywhere and nowhere at the same time. "Ahhhh, Hydraxon," it crooned. "Who are you?" yelled Hydraxon into the darkness. "Don't tell me after all this time you've forgotten?" the voice asked. "Forgotten what?" retorted Hydraxon. "Ahhhh," the voice said again. There was a flash of light and Hydraxon found himself drifting through the waters of the Pit. He closed his eyes and was swallowed up by darkness.
Hydraxon opened his eyes and looked around. He was in a lush forest with the birds twittering in the trees. He slowly picked himself up off the ground and turned. He was on land... so what was wrong? He could breathe! The thought stunned Hydraxon. It put him off guard for a while, giving a nearby, and very hungry, Rahi the chance to jump on him. Hydraxon, twirled around, as he had heard something moving. He saw the Rahi, and blocked the blow with the flat side of his wrist blades. The Rahi tumbled to the ground, and, realizing its prey was too strong, got up, turned, and fled.
"Hmph." Hydraxon sniffed the air. There was a strange fruity smell about it. He saw a fruit on the ground and bent to pick it up. It was a small fruit, with a leathery skin. He bit into it and warm juice filled his mouth. Hydraxon picked several more off the tree it had fallen from and settled down to eat.
After finishing his meal, Hydraxon picked himself up off the ground and walked into the forest.
It was quite some time before Hydraxon realized he was lost. Looking around, he saw that the forest had become thicker, the branches larger. Most trees were choked with spiked vines that wrapped around them. Many types of insect Rahi crawl up and down the trees. But one, in particular, stopped. It began to falter, and soon fell and died. To Hydraxon's surprise, its back split open, and a kind of evil-looking flower came out. "Parasite." he said to himself, grimly. Stepping over the insect, he began to walk away from this patch of forest, when suddenly, all the insects around him faltered. Most died, and parasites emerged. The ones that weren't affected, scuttled away in fear. "What happened?" Hydraxon thought. Suddenly, he heard a faint growl. He lifted his head, and looked straight into the huge eye of a massive parasite.
